
100+ Women Who Care Sanibel Captiva
Each member donates $100 per meeting ($300 per year) to support vetted local nonprofits serving Sanibel and Captiva.
Only 501(c)(3) nonprofits with a current Guidestar profile and IRS Form 990 are eligible.
Local impact is required; national/international organizations must ensure funds stay local.
No polarizing/divisive nonprofits will be considered.
At each meeting, members may nominate one nonprofit. Three are randomly selected.
Nominating members must present a 5-minute pitch (no substitutes) followed by Q&A.
Members vote; the nonprofit with the most votes receives the full donation.
Members unable to attend must submit checks before the meeting.
Checks go directly to the nonprofit; to avoid mailings, include a note with your check.
Non-selected nonprofits may be re-nominated; recipients are eligible again after 3 years.
Urgent community needs can be shared by members for optional individual support.
